A tender has been awarded to do much need repairs on Amirault Street in Dieppe.
City Council held a special meeting yesterday to announce that Modern Construction has been awarded the first tender, worth almost $8.5 million.
Amirault Street has been hit with severe flooding over several years, forcing closures, and many traffic tie-ups and headaches for the roughly 22, 000 motorists who use the road each day.
The provincial and federal governments are splitting the total cost of the repairs.
