Taxpayers On Hook For More Scheduling Conflicts At Moncton Coliseum

Scheduling conflicts at the Moncton Coliseum have cost the taxpayers more than originally thought.

Moncton City Council learned earlier this week, after the release of financial documents, that there has been more than one incident this season where the facility was doubled booked.

In April, a Moncton Wildcats playoff game had to be moved to Fredericton due to a scheduling conflict, costing taxpayers $125, 000.

In March, Wildcats games at the Moncton Coliseum had to be moved from Friday and Saturday to Thursday and Sunday instead. Low attendance meant the City was forced to fork out around $60, 000 to compensate for lost revenue.
