Rogers Defends The Plan To Have Some Seniors Pay More

Social Development Minister Cathy Rogers is responding to her critics that think the government is trying to separate seniors from their hard earned money.

She says any policy change will not impact those who can’t afford to pay i.e. vulnerable seniors.

Rogers points out that policy is still in the works and will be introduced this year.

She adds something has to be done because 55,000 people in the province are over the age of 75.
