The City of Moncton’s 125th birthday celebration is officially underway!
A launch party was held this afternoon at Moncton City Hall to kick off the numerous birthday events happening this weekend.
Mayor George LeBlanc says Moncton truly is a city which has risen again, time after time.
“When we reflect back to 1890 when the City of Moncton reincorporated itself as a city and you fast forward to today… 125 years later… and you can see the tremedous success the city has enjoyed.”
A quilt made by the Greater Moncton Quilt Guild featuring the city skyline was unveiled to mark the milestone.
Simple Plan will headline a special concert tomorrow night at Riverfront Park with fireworks over the Petitcodiac River.
