SPCA Looking Into The Cause of Death of Cats Found Along River

Sad news when someone made the grim discovery of crates containing deceased cats along the Saint John river in Woodstock.
Provincial SPCA Executive Director Hilary Howes says its unclear if the cats died from natural causes or some other way.
He says when the cats were found they were frozen and in order to do a proper necropsy the animals have to thaw slowly so the organs are not damaged.
Howes says results of the animal necropsies should be in next week.
