A local organization continues to lend a hand to those in need.
Blankets For Moncton has been in operation for eight years, and they assist the homeless, victims of a house fire, or domestic violence and individuals transitioning from the streets into housing.
Executive Director Nadine Lipton says they are always in need of donations. Right now, they are in need of things like small appliances, kettles and coffee makers, sheet sets and towels.
Lipton says are currently assisting a number of individuals who were left homeless after a fire at the corner of Enterprise and West Main Streets. They hope to have new housing secured by tomorrow.
