To help celebrate Moncton’s 125th birthday later this month, the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy will be on display at Riverfront Park along with a custom-designed fan experience.
Moncton Stadium will play host to seven matches in the June tournament.
FIFA Moncton spokesperson Stephane Delisle says residents will be able to get up close and personal with the coveted trophy.
“This is the first time that the official FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy has toured a country prior to the tournament. This is another first for us as an organizing committee.”
Delisle adds a number of FIFA-related interactive activities will also be on hand at Riverfront Park on Friday, April 24 as part of Moncton’s birthday celebration.
