GMCC Describes Provincial Budget As Disappointing

The Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce says this budget is more about not what was in it, but what wasn’t.

CEO Carol O’Reilly says they were disappointed there weren’t any further announcements on future oil and gas developments, and she says announcements about increases to the HST, income tax, property tax and tolls won’t be brought forward until a later date.

She says they’re concerned for the trucking industry and businesses using industrial equipment, because of the increase in provincial fuel tax.

Business owners were also disappointed about the reduction in the dividend tax credit for small business.
