Spring might be here, but Winter is putting up a battle.
A snowfall warning is in effect for Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.
Environment Canada says a low pressure system developing south of Nova Scotia tonight will move into the Gulf of St Lawrence on Sunday pushing ahead of it a wave of snow to once more blanket the region.
Moncton is expected to get 15 to 20 more centimetres of snow, getting near the 500 centimetre mark for the entire winter.
As has been usual this winter, strong winds will accompany the snow, causing blowing snow and localized whiteout conditions.
Most of the snow is expected overnight and into tomorrow morning – with gradual tapering off by Sunday evening.
