As towering snow drifts stubbornly refuse to melt at a reasonable pace, the Magnetic Hill Zoo is delaying its Spring opening.
A post on the City of Moncton facebook page says due to the amount of snow on the ground, the Zoo will be delaying its opening because of safety concerns.
When interviewed earlier this month, the Zoo said snow drifts piled high near enclosures raised potential safety issues with visitors gaining access to animals.
At the time, they said they would continue to assess the snow drifts and safety of the zoo.
No further word yet on when the Zoo will finally be open.
