People with a modest income and a simple tax situation can get help with their taxes.
The Canada Revenue Agency and community organizations have teamed up for the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.
The groups host tax preparation clinics and arrange for volunteers to prepare income tax and benefit returns for people.
CRA outreach officer Ashley Clarke says only certain people are eligible including individuals who earn under $30,000, or a couple with an income under $40,000.
Volunteers do not prepare returns for people who are self-employed, file for bankruptcy or have employment expenses.
There are clinics across New Brunswick including Dieppe, Fredericton, Hampton, Moncton, Saint John, Sackville, St. Stephen, and Sussex.
