Visitation Now Permitted In Most Areas at Georges Dumont Hospital

The Georges Dumont Hospital has reopened to visitors, but with one exception.

Hospital officials had suspended visits this week after a number of patients and staff started coming down with the flu and flu-like symptoms.

Most areas of the Dumont have reopened expect for 3A – the Geriatric Care Unit.

A number of patients in that unit are still experiencing flu symptoms and that suspension will remain in effect until further notice.

As always, visitors are being urged to wash their hands frequently or use antiseptic solution when entering and leaving the hospital.
