It was a challenging night for Moncton firefighters as they battled a fire in the Pine tree subdivision off Elmwood Drive.
The call came in at around 3:40 this morning from neighbours on Blue Jay Street.
When the 12 firefighters arrived on scene, the home was engulfed in flames. They fought as quickly as they could despite the high snowbanks and frigid temperatures, but unfortunately the home was destroyed.
Platoon Chief Brian Gaudet says there’s no word on a cause yet.
Fire Prevention officers are currently on scene and they’ll be working to try and determine a cause..
The residents were not home when the fire broke out, and no one was injured.
