Eating better and getting in shape can be a difficult task for some.
But when you really set your mind to it, and refuse to give up, it can really pay off in the end.
That’s the story for a 28 year old Moncton woman. Meghan Leblanc set out 5 years ago to get back into shape.
But she has taken it a step further, and in April, she’ll compete in her first ever bodybuilding competition.
She says win or lose, it has all been worth it.
She says, “I’m meeting a lot of fantastic people in the industry. Girls like me, women like me, with all different paths to get there, but they all have one goal in mind, to get up on that stage and show what they’ve got. I’m pretty excited about it, I think it’ll be a pretty amazing experience.”
Leblanc says she became interested in bodybuilding after attending a fitness competition a few years ago with her boyfriend.
She says getting in shape can have its ups and downs, but you just have to stick with it, “Get someone who knows what they are talking about. Hire a Coach or a trainer, just someone who can show you the ropes and show you how to do it the best way you and and how to do it healthy. Once you see results, you’re going to be so excited you just won’t want to look back.”
The competition is the Atlantic Classics Championships being held on April 4th, at Casino NB. http://www.atlanticclassic.ca/
