Flu Outbreak At Georges Dumont Hospital Means Restricted Visits

Public visits to one unit at the Georges Dumont Hospital have been suspended until further notice due to an outbreak of the flu.

Officials with the Vitalitie Health Network say an outbreak of the flu within the rehabilitation unit has put that area under quarantine.

Confirmed cases of the flu among patients in that unit prompted the hospital to take action.

For anyone visiting patients in other units at the hospital, officials are asking visitors to thoroughly wash your hands or use an alcohol-based gel when entering and leaving the hospital.

If any patient does have flu-like symptoms, you should avoid visiting altogether.
