As a result of today’s blizzard, and weather conditions, there are several closures and cancellations in the Greater Moncton Area.
- CODIAC TRANSPO is not running today at all.
- CHAMPLAIN PLACE is also closed today.
- RCMP Advise NO PUBLIC TRAVEL on the TRANSCANADA BETWEEN FREDERICTON AND MONCTON, also, HIGHWAY 1 DRIVING CONDITIONS POOR AND TRAVEL NOT ADVISED. Check THIS link from the Province for the latest in road conditions.
- HIGHWAY 2 (TCH) BETWEEN MONCTON AND NOVA SCOTIA BORDER NOW CLOSED. “Impassable” conditions and blowing snow.
- HIGHWAY 15 BETWEEN MONCTON AND PORT ELGIN IS CLOSED.
- HIGHWAY 16 AULAC TO CAPE TORMENTINE ALSO CLOSED.
- HIGHWAY 126 ROGERSVILLE TO MONCTON CLOSED.
- Also, the ANGLOPHONE EAST SCHOOL DISTRICT has cancelled all community use of schools for the day.
- The CAMPUS OF UNIVERSITE DE MONCTON will be closed today – all activities and classes have been cancelled.
- MOUNT ALLISON UNIVERSITY CAMPUS closed, including McCain Student Centre and the Library – however, Residences and Jennings Meal Hall will remain open.
- GREATER MONCTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT is OPEN, however, both arrivals and departures have been cancelled until approximately 6PM this evening (Sunday). You should call the airport directly for details on specific flights.
- The MONCTON YMCA will be closed throughout the day as well.
- SNOW MOTION at Centennial Park from 1 to 4 today has been cancelled.
- The RED BALL INTERNET CENTRE and the KAY ARENA are closed today. They will reassess at 4 today.
- RIVERVIEW WINTER CARNIVAL activities and events for today has been cancelled.
- RESURGO PLACE is closed today.
- POLEY MOUNTAIN will be closed for today, but will reopen tomorrow (Monday).
- MOUNTAIN VIEW UNITED CHURCH is closed today.
- 9AM MASS, ST LAWRENCE O’TOOLE Irishtown is cancelled.
- 11AM SERVICE ST PHILLIPS ANGLICAN CHURCH in Moncton cancelled.
- FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE in Moncton has cancelled all services and activities.
- SALISBURY UNITED CHURCH AND THE COVERDALE UNITED CHURCH are closed today.
- ST PAT’S FAMILY CENTRE is closed today.
- NB LIQUOR STORES, are all closed today.
- All SOBEYS STORES in Moncton and Shediac will be closed as of 11 AM today. Reopen regular hours tomorow.
- RIVERVIEW GUARDIAN PHARMACY closed.
- The MOTORCYCLE AND ATV SHOW – MONCTON has been cancelled for today.
- TOWN OF RIVERVIEW facilities also closed.
- Finally, all CITY OF DIEPPE facilities will be closed today.
