A senior inmate not even two years into a 12 year sentence has passed away at the Dorchester Penitentiary.
82 year old Garnet Cole began serving his jail time in March 2013 for rape, indecent assault, sexual assault and sexual interference with a girl under 14.
Cole’s family has been notified of this death.
The police and coroner were also notified and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
