The Atlantic Premiers are working together to create a coordinated approach when it comes to the energy sector in the Maritimes, according to Premier Brian Gallant.
He says the Premiers agreed there are many opportunities in Atlantic Canada to have energy play a crucial role in generating jobs and increase economic growth, for example the Energy East Pipeline. Gallant says the pipeline is a great project that will create jobs in the province and ensure long term stability and prosperity.
Gallant says the Premiers discussed sharing best practices so each province doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel, and they can work together to use their combined experience to create a stronger economic region.
