A fire at an apartment building on Fredericton’s north side forcing the evacuation of more than two dozen tenants.
The blaze broke out on the upper level of the three-story building on Irvine Street.
While tenants of the first and second floors were later allowed back into their homes top floor residents have been displaced because of fire damage in at least one apartment and smoke or water damage elsewhere.
The Red Cross is helping out three men from two apartments while other tenants from the top floor are staying with friends and family for the time being.
There were no injuries.
