UPDATE – Two Mounties Shot In Alberta, Shooter Dead

A manhunt is underway after two uniformed members of the RCMP were shot in Alberta during an investigation.

The Mounties say the suspect fled the scene in St. Albert, which is outside of Edmonton, and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The officers, whose injuries are considered significant, are being treated in hospital and their names are not being released at this time.

Police are looking for a white man aged 25-35 years old who was wearing a two-toned blue striped jacket and jeans.

The suspect who shot two RCMP officers in a St. Albert casino has been located. The police are not releasing the man’s name at this point. In a release, Mounties say there is no longer any threat to the public. They will provide an update on the situation this evening.

RCMP say man wanted in shooting of two officers outside of Edmonton is dead. He was not killed by police. In an update, an officer is in serious condition and the other is stable.
