A committee looking at the amalgamation of the Town of Bouctouche with the Wellington Local Service District is hoping for extensive community engagement with their newly released media tools.
They have a new logo, email, phone number as well as a website and facebook page.
Spokesperson for the committee Archie Bastarache says there are several benefits to amalgamation.
He says, “We’d be able to stay in our small communities, which would stay the same, but we’d benefit from lower taxes, more income and improved services – particularly for residents in Wellington.
There will be a public meeting on January 19th at the Bouctouche Community Centre at 7pm
