A Reminder Not To Drink And Drive

Many of us may be planning to celebrate the festive season with family and friends over the next couple of days.

Just a reminder not to drink and drive over the holiday season.

Spokesperson for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Atlantic Canada Susan Macaskill says you should always plan ahead.

She says, “Have a safe plan to exercise responsible choices if alcohol is going to be consumed at these social gatherings. Consider public transit, staying overnight or having someone designate themselves as the driver at the end of the night, so everyone is ensured a safe ride home.”

If you suspect someone on the roads may be impaired by drugs or alcohol because of the way they are driving, RCMP ask that you report it by calling 911.
