A 21-year-old man accused of several charges including unlawful confinement appears for a preliminary hearing in Moncton court today.
John Jay Anderson is accused of breaking into a residence on McLaughlin Drive in August, assaulting a woman and kidnapping an 18-year-old against her will.
Anderson is also charged with uttering a threat to burn property and breaching a probation order.
The woman was released later the same day, and Anderson was arrested two days later.
