Flooded Streets In Metro Moncton

Numerous streets have been closed in Metro Moncton due to flooding.

From the CITY OF MONCTON:

Flooding and Heavy Rain update – Drive carefully; there are several road closures (6:25 a.m.):

– Wheeler Blvd will be closed by 6:30 a.m between Mountain Rd and Université Ave

– Morton Ave (High Street to Pascal-Poirier Ave)

– West Main at Givan

– McLaughlin Dr. (near TransCanada Highway overpass)

– McWilliams Lane

– Jonathan Ave (Westbrook Circle)

Flooding update (9am):

-Shediac Rd. now closed near Dove Lane (located near the Trans-Canada overpass).

From the CITY OF DIEPPE:

UPDATE – 9:15 a.m.

-Closed – Fox Creek Road/Marguerite up to LeBlanc Road

-One (1) lane opened in the direction of Dieppe City Hall – Acadie/Amirault from Chartersville to rue du Marché

-OPEN – Amirault at Intersection of Fox Creek/Marguerite

-OPEN – Melanson between Rouse and Dieppe Boulevard

-OPEN – Chartersville between Keith and Bonaventure

OUTLYING AREAS:

-Route 114 between Riverview and Hillsborough is closed due to flooding at Riverview Town limits.

-Pinglen Road to Hillsborough is also closed due to flooding, Only way to Hillsborough from Moncton is via route 910.

CODIAC TRANSPO UPDATE:

Due to the closure of Wheeler Blvd, the 50 Red Line is out of service.

Customers can use the Blue Line at Champlain Place or the Green Line at Plaza Blvd to make their connections.

Other routes experiencing some detours: 64 (Hospitals), 68 (Salisbury), 81 (Riverview), 95 (Amirault).
