It’s becoming a busy time of year for the folks at Canada Post.
The post office says it hires additional staff to keep up with the demand.
Canada Post spokesperson Anick Losier says more people are now shopping online during the Christmas season and that means more parcels to be delivered.
“At the moment, we are processing more than 1,250 parcels per minute at plants the country. Each day we average about 800,000 parcels delivered across Canada.”
Losier says when sending a parcel, make sure your postal code is correct and clearly visible.
If you’re re-using a box, she adds you should make sure any old markings are covered up so they are not confused with the new address.
