Firefighters Battle Two Moncton Fires

A couple of house fires in Moncton kept firefighters busy over the weekend.

A home containing two apartments on 49 Bath Street in Lewisville was extensively damaged by fire Sunday morning.

Firefighters were able to retrieve clothing and some personal items for the two men who lived there.

The Red Cross also provided emergency aid.

Meanwhile, six residents were displaced after fire broke out at a house containing three apartments at 197 Wesley Street on Friday night.

The home was also badly damaged and the Red Cross helped two of those residents with emergency aid.
