Operations Budget deliberations will continue in Moncton City council chambers today.
They began yesterday, but according to reports, things took a bit of a turn when two City Councillor suggested that the City should dismiss City Manager Jacques Dube in an effort to save the $200, 000 in the form of his salary.
After a private session that lasted roughly 40 minutes, the motion was withdrawn.
Rising costs for the Codiac Regional Policing Authority contract for 2015 are an issue of contention. They will rise by $1 million next year.
Deliberations resume at 8:30am.
