The New Brunswick Federation of Labour welcomes the Gallant government’s first Throne speech with mixed feelings of anticipation and skepticism.
They are pleased the province will see more women appointed to provincial agencies, boards and commissions.
President Patrick Colford tells us the federation is very disappointed that the Throne Speech makes no mention of the wage gap in the province.
When it comes to re-examining the drug plan, Colford says they are very skeptical and they hope it will include the recommendations they made to Government last June.
