Roadways in and around the Greater Moncton region are sheer ice, thanks to freezing rain.
Cars are travelling at between 20 k/h and 40 k/h on Wheeler Blvd. this morning due to conditions. Codiac RCMP and Moncton Fire Department are advising motorists to slow down and drive with care.
RCMP say there have been more than ten multi vehicle accidents, and several cars have slid off the road into the ditch. Luckily there have been no serious injutries reported.
There are also reports of accidents on Hwy 126, Hwy 1 and on Wheeler Blvd. .
The City of Moncton says salt trucks are now out, and conditions will hopefully improve as the freezing rain turns to rain.
