Decision On Whether Oland Will Stand Trial Expected In December

The preliminary inquiry deciding whether 46-year-old Dennis Oland will stand trial for killing his father, prominent Saint John businessman Richard Oland, has lasted for 37 days, and 42 witnesses have been called to testify.

The presiding judge has opted to reserve that decision until December 12 at 9:30a.m.

Oland was in court today accompanied by family members.

All of the evidence from the preliminary hearing is subject to a media ban.
