A lot of construction took place at the Magnetic Hill Zoo this year but the added activity didn’t seem to deter anyone from visiting.
Zoo manager Bruce Dougan says it turned out to be another record year for visitors.
Dougan says the zoo welcomed 141,995 visitors in 2014 which is an increase of about 300 over last year – also a record year.
The new Asian exhibit, which will include the zoo’s two new Amur tigers, has faced construction delays and won’t open until next year.
Changes were also made to the Barnyard area this season.
