Premier Brian Gallant is pleased following a meeting with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne where they covered issues with the Federal Government, areas for potential cooperation and the 12-billion-dollar proposed Energy East pipeline.
Gallant say Premier Wynne’s list of 7 criteria where Energy East is concerned are reasonable and achievable.
She says the starting point is recognizing the potential benefits but they need those 7 principles continously adhered to.
Some of the 7 criteria regarding Energy East revealed followed a meeting between Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Quebec Premier Phillipe Couillard include consultation with communities where the project is going through, evaluating environmental impact and consultation with First Nations.
