A talented woman who calls Greater Moncton home, is heading to London, England.
Katey Day, is heading to audition this week for the show “Britain’s Got Talent”.
Katey says many Canadians don’t realize that they are eligible to audition there, “I think it;s probably one of the best kept secrets in Canada that we as Canadian artists have the opportunity to go over an perform on one of the biggest stages in the world, mainly because we are part of the British Commonwealth.”
Katey has been an artist for about 31 years now, and music is her passion. She will be performing a song from her Rock Opera “Deception” and she hopes to draw even more attention to her production, in the hopes of bringing it to the bigger stage.
She says, “To actually get on the live shows, I feel there is a great opportunity to not only create a gateway for other artists coming from the Maritimes and from Canada, but also for Deception to go to the larger stage.”
Katey was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, but she is now living in Dieppe.
Katey’s audition is November 29th.
