New Brunswick’s newest millionaire plans to spend his money wisely, not impulsively. Blake Hatfield is a 55 year old employee for the city of St John and he says the money will help him pay off his mortgage, and do some work on his house.
He bought the house 3 years ago, and says it’s a fixer upper so the money will be very useful.
Hatfield was spending up to 75 dollars a week on lottery tickets, and had decided to stop buying them in December to keep paying for his home.
Hatfield says he plays the lottery often, and sees a lot of people just waste their money but he is determined not to be one of them.
