Moncton Replacing Aging Water Meters

Over the next ten years, the City of Moncton will be carrying out a program which will see roughly 18,000 aging water meters and transmitting units replaced.

City technicians will be delivering information to those homes who need their water meters replaced.

The city is asking for cooperation from residents to schedule appointments which will take about one hour.

The new water meters and transmitting units will help reduce long-term maintenance costs and are being installed at no cost to property owners or tenants.

Moncton City Council approved the program earlier this year for properties where water meters have not been installed or replaced in the last decade.
