A 57-year-old man recently released from Dorchester Penitentiary after serving his a full sentence, has been placed on conditions.
Robert Douglas Frank appeared in court yesterday, as the judge made a decision on the conditions.
Frank is originally from the Halifax area, but has chosen to reside in Moncton. He was released in September after serving a two year, eight month sentence. He was convicted of a number of offences including criminally harassing a woman, and breaching court orders.
The conditions are being imposed because there is concern for the victim, and other women, and it is believed that Frank is a high risk to reoffend.
The conditions include not knowingly associating with anyone with a criminal record for one year, unless it is related to school, work or church..He is on a midnight to 5am curfew for five months, and police are able to check in to ensure he is following it, and he must also tell police if he begins a relationship with a woman.
