The housing market in Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton won’t be robust for quite sometime yet, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing.
C-M-H-C predicts the resale market for housing will remain sluggish next year and in 2016 which will depress the growth in prices.
As for new housing construction, declines are expected in all three major cities in the province for both single detached homes and apartment buildings. The out migration of people for greener pastures and high vacancy rates are cited as the reasons why.
