The Energy East pipeline has been top of mind during meetings in Alberta that include Premier Brian Gallant and Energy and Mines Minister Donald Arseneault.
They arrived in Alberta yesterday.
Arsenault is confident this trip will end up benefiting the province of New Brunswick.
“This is a win-win-win for everyone. It’s a win for New Brunswick because it creates much needed economic activity. It’s a win for Alberta because it gives them access to world markets including Europe and China. It’s a win for the country because we said all along this is a nation building project.”
Arseneault says they’ve had a warm response from Alberta officials and they remain very committed to this project with TransCanada.
