Significant Drop In NB Gas Prices

Gas prices continue to dip across the province.

Motorists will get a nice surprise this week. The Energy and Utilities Board adjusted its prices at midnight, with a significant drop of 5.6 cents a litre for regular self serve.

Most stations in Moncton are selling for around 123.1

Dan McTeague who runs the website, www.tomorrowsgaspricetoday.com says the province continues to catch up with prices in other parts of the country.

He says, “Because of the way the formula works in New Brunswick for gas prices, New Brunswickers did not get the full benefit of the decrease which should have been at least an additional three to four cents a litre.”

Diesel prices are also down 2.9 cents a litre, furnace oil is up by 3.0 cents and propane stayed the same.
