Fans of the big cats at the Magnetic Hill Zoo will be excited to hear about their latest additions.
Last week, they welcomed two cougar cubs from an Ontario zoo.
And about five weeks ago, their resident jaguars gave birth to a male cub.
Manager Bruce Dougan says unfortunately the cougar won’t be going on display until next year, and the jaguar is being moved to a new home.
Dougan notes the tigers are now inhabiting the cougar exhibit until the new tiger exhibit is complete so we are not having the cougars on display until spring and the jaguar is moving to a new home at an Ontario zoo.
Dougan says this brings the total number of big cats at the Magnetic Hill Zoo to ten, including lions, tigers and jaguars.
