A Nova Scotia man who is now a multi-millionaire thanks to a large lotto win, will finally claim his prize.
The 77-year-old fisherman from Bell Island in Lunenburg County matched all 6 numbers in the October 1st Lotto 6/49 draw.
He is expected to pick up a cheque for $13.8 million at the Bridgewater Curling Club next Thursday morning.
Leon Hirtle says he has been playing the lotto for roughly 25 years. He plans to use the money to help out his family and also will do some work on the house.
