A member of New Brunswick’s Sports Hall of Fame and Moncton Sports Wall of Fame will be honored this Friday, during Moncton High’s homecoming game between the Purple Knights and the Trojans.
Ed Skiffington was athletic director at Moncton High for almost 30 years and was a key contributor in the creation of the New Brunswick High School Football League in 1963.
Moncton High School will be making a special presentation to his wife of almost 70 years, Lois Skiffington and other members of the Skiffington family at Friday night’s game, and the Purple Knights will be playing their first game with a large letter S on their helmets in memory of the coach.
Skiffington passed away in March of this year at the age of 92.
