An overwhelming majority of Canadians and New Brunswickers seem to support assisted dying according to a new poll.
“Dying with Dignity Canada” recently conducted the poll in which 2500 Canadians were asked if they support helping end a person’s life if they are terminally ill, competent yet suffering and repeatedly asking for help to end their life.
Results show 84% of Canadians support assisted dying and in New Brunswick the figure is 80%.
Wanda Morris,CEO of Dying with Dignity Canada, says although there’s lot’s of support, people are still afraid to talk about it.
Morris adds their findings also show that a majority of health care workers and even Christians support assisted dying.
