Lunar Eclipse Happening Tomorrow

If you missed last year’s Total Lunar Eclipse in April, you have another opportunity to catch a glimpse tomorrow morning.

At approximately 6:15 am until 7am you’ll be able to see the moon slide into the earth’s shadow slowly and in our area it will look like a brilliant orange moon.

We spoke with Gary Boyle, President of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and he advised us on average it’s not unusual for planet earth to experience 2 – 3 Total Lunar Eclipses each year.

Boyle also said unlike a Solar eclipse where you need protective eye wear to watch it, you can take in the full 45 minutes of the Lunar Eclipse ,worry free as the sun is not involved…after tomorrow morning, the next time we’ll see a Total Lunar Eclipse will be in 2018.
