Saint John Police Investigating After Man Seriously Assaulted

City Police are investigating after finding a 22-year-old Saint John man who was seriously assaulted just before 5 o’clock this morning.

While the man was discovered at the Saint John Regional Hospital, police say that is not where he was assaulted and it’s not believed this is a random act of violence.

He is now in serious condition at hospital and our newsroom is told no arrests have been made. We are also told the police presence on King Street East this morning is tied to this particular investigation.

Officers are looking for any information the public may have in relation to this assault, if you know anything you can call the Saint John Police at 648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
