Hypothermia Established As Cause Of Woman’s 2012 Death In Fredericton

Almost two years after her body was found on Fredericton’s north side, provincial RCMP releasing the cause of death of 26-year-old Alicia Dawn Boone.

The autopsy showing she died from hypothermia due to exposure from freezing temperatures and also lists contributing factors in her death including elevated drug levels in her system and positional asphyxia from being face down on the ground.

Cpl. Chantal Farrah says the case will remain open because they don’t know how Boone got to Killarney Road which is where her body was found.

Police confirming through witnesses that Boone, who is originally from Nackawic, was at an apartment on George Street until around 11:30pm on November 5, 2012. She then left and was planning on meeting somsone on Brunswick. They say there are no other confirmed reports of her whereabouts after that.
