Bean Bag Chairs Recalled Over Suffocation Hazard

Approximately 3500 bean bag chairs being recalled in the country over what Health Canada is calling a suffocating hazard.

The chairs by the Ace Bayou Corporation are round, L-shaped, vinyl or fabric and filled with foam beads. The zippers on the chairs can be opened which allows young kids to possibly inhale or ingest the beads. A 13-year-old boy from Texas and a 3-year-old girl from Kentucky both died after inhaling the beads. Both children were found inside the chairs.

The chairs were sold in Canada from January 2012 to July 2013. Click here for more information on the recall.
