Peoples Alliance wants ban on herbicide spraying

The Peoples Alliance party is promising to create over 1000 good paying thinning and bush saw operator jobs if elected.

Leader Kris Austin says the government currently spends $13 million a year on herbicide spraying. The party is proposing following other jurisdictions in North America by banning the use of herbicide spraying and using that money to add more jobs.

He says there have been many concerns over the effects of herbicide spraying on our environment, wildlife and the effects on human health.
