New Brunswick saw an increase last month of 3800 fulltime jobs.
Combined with fewer people seeking work, the provincial unemployment rate declined from 10 per cent in July to 8.7 per cent in August.
That’s the lowest rate since April of 2010.
The unemployment rate in Saint John also fell to 6.9 per cent from 7.6 per cent in July.
Moncton’s unemployment rate rose last month to 6.5 per cent from 5.9 per cent in July.
