A collision involving three vehicles and a moose has left a couple from Miramichi dead.
Richibucto RCMP say the accident happened last night at around 8:30pm on Highway 11 near Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
A van travelling northbound collided with a moose, and an oncoming vehicle collided with the van. A third vehicle then drove into the ditch to avoid the crash.
Sergeant Marco Papillon says eight others, five adults and three children, suffered non life threatening injuries.
The victims in the crash are a 60-year-old man and a 62-year old woman. Their identities have not been released yet.
